A new gallery is in the pipeline - Interiors. It will be up and running soon.

Night Shoot in London

In January I made a trip to London specially to do some night photography. My route took me along the South Bank from Westminster Bridge to the Millennium Bridge. There was a glorious sunset and lots of people taking pictures and remarking about the colours. Most of my images were taken in sets for processing as HDR photographs. One thing I discovered was how much a big solid bridge like Waterloo Bridge bounces around when a bus passes over it! A long exposure was only possible from a position over one of the parapets. The Millennium Bridge was even worse, but that was to be expected. The same solution seemed to work. Some of the results are in the Night gallery.

Rockpools

In June we did a tour of the Welsh coast and I got hooked on photographing rockpools and flotsam/jetsam washed up on the beach, using a macro lens to get really close. My biggest disappointment was not being able to successfully eliminate surface reflections from the pools, even using a polarizer. I am working on a solution for that!
